In one store, he had found what he thought was "perfect" - as perfect as presents got since he did not believe in the concept. A necklace, with a silver chain and two pearls which dangled at the center: a white and a black.::

An instant smile lit her face. He didn't give her gifts like this that consisted of metal often, and although she'd never thought of wearing pearls, the necklace was beautiful without being old-fashioned. "It's lovely."
