"Public opinion is changing slowly," ::The Professor reminded her. He would not lie to the children, but he also could not allow them to abandon hope. Certainly not when they were so young.::

"If you say so," Lorna replied. He was a telepath, she supposed he'd know.

::It was a topic for the Professor's philosophy class or for office hours. For now, they had to focus on the matter at hand.:: "We can begin whenever you are ready."

They'd been involved enough in conversation that she hadn't noticed what the room looked like when they entered. It was brightly gridded, but other then that...she directed an odd look at the Professor. "A...big blank room??"

::Most of the students were more impressed that the room existed beneath the Institute. However, the Professor had no expectations of student expectations. He explained,:: "It is computerized."

::The Professor gestured at the control booth behind them.:: "There is hologram technology which can be controlled from there, creating virtually any scenario one could imagine for the purposes of training."

Lorna's eyebrows rose. "Sounds like...Star Trek." She couldn't help it, it was the best comparison she had, even though she knew that made her sound like a nerd.

::The Professor smiled lightly at the comparison. It was not the first time a student had made that comparison and he doubted that it would be the last.:: "I have heard that before. Of course, unlike Star Trek, this is real."

"As long as a copy of Professor Moriarty doesn't take over the Mansion," Lorna said, because he'd smiled and gotten the first joke.

::The Professor smiled at her and his hand found the control on his wheelchair.:: "Not today. Perhaps when you have more practice."

"More practice at creating sentient holograms?" Lorna asked, still with a half smile.

"With your powers," ::The Professor corrected, although he did comprehend the reference.:: "On that topic, are you ready?"

"Um...yeah. I think," she said, not really knowing what to expect.
