"IF anyone can find it," Typhoid replied, finishing her glass of water.

"That's why it's wishful thinking," ::Odin replied, and took another sip of his rum. Half-drained, he felt the throbbing in his head which would give way to haze.:: "At the moment, it's the best we can hope for."

"I won't settle for just waiting around until the people we dislike are brought down by their own stupidity," she replied. "It could be years before that happens."

::Odin set his glass down, more to cope with the alcohol coursing through him than for effect.:: "I'll be happy to answer a call for anarchy come the morning, as well as drafting a letter to my senator. For tonight, I'll settle for grim acceptance."

"And not so mild drunkenness?" Ty asked pointedly.

"I don't get mildly drunk," ::Odin responded, which was evidence in itself that he was still sober enough for the compulsion to have its way with him. It was why he tried to take care when drinking. It was all or nothing, and he stripped of his perceptive skills and his logic was a unpleasant sight indeed. Speaking of which, it was time for him to exert one or the other in the form of a topic change.:: "How is your first semester?

Months of talking to Pietro had gotten her used to sudden topic changes. "Busy," she said, but would say little else about it. Her worries over finding a job and balancing classes had paled compared to the fact that someone was watching her who might not be friendly.

"What are you taking?" ::She was tight-lipped, but Odin had to imagine that was due to extra-curricular reasons, Institute affiliated, personal, or otherwise. He had no vested interest in that side of her life, but education would be a welcome distraction. And he was ever-curious to see how other Universities compared to his alma matter.::

"Umm..." Typhoid had to think for a moment, and in between she ordered a soda from the bartender. "Acting 101, Musical Theory, Biology 201, Orchestra 1, and...Algebra 101," she said, grimacing at the last. "I dislike math."

::Odin took from that immediately that she was a music student. The science and mathematics courses had to be part of general education, for which Odin also had little fondness. Though his detested courses hadn't been hard sciences.:: "How many semesters of math and science do you have to take before the requirements are satisfied?"

"Three," she replied grudgingly. The required courses annoyed her, but there was little way around them.

::That feel roughly in line with Odin's own experiences, and he nodded.:: "Might I recommend an astronomy course?"

"Astronomy?" she said, her tone indicating she'd not given that particular subject a lot of thought. "I suppose it couldn't be too involved." It was better then the accounting course someone else had told her to take for an 'easy grade.'

"Basic astronomy hinges on concepts rather than equations. Little to no math," ::Odin told her. Upper-level astronomy was precisely the opposite, which was why he had enjoyed it, but the nature of the universe was worth studying.::

"Sounds easy enough," she said, mentally making a note of it. The comedian originally on the TV had given way to a political comedian, and she groaned and yelled with the rest of the crowd to turn it.
