::The weather was unusually pleasant that night, and thus they had agreed on supper on the patio. When it was time, he wheeled outside to the picnic table, to find it set for their meal.::

Raven was already there, with salad, pasta, and meatballs sitting on the picnic table. When she turned, she smiled at him. "Good evening, Charles. How are you?"

::Xavier returned the smile and settled at the head of the picnic table, where there sat no bench to inhibit him.:: "Good evening, Raven. I am well. How was your day?"

"My day was lovely," She said happily. She had played with Abigail for most of the day, and then read for a bit. She handed the bowl of spaghetti to him so he could serve himself. "How was yours?"

::Xavier took the serving dish with a smile, and helped himself to a portion of spaghetti, before handing it back to her.:: "My day was quite productive. I had a two training sessions in addition to classes."

She took the bowl and began serving herself as well. "Two sessions? You must be tired." Usually he was, after classes and then going through more than one training session.

::Generally, Xavier was tired after such an eventful day, yet recently he had found himself with an abundance of energy.:: "One would think, but i can keep going. Perhaps it is the new vitamins."

"Maybe," She said, nodding. "I've noticed that you have been more energetic...in private."

::Xavier had not been as tired recently upon retiring, either, and he nodded to confirm that.:: "As I said, perhaps it is the new vitamins."

"Then you should keep taking them," She said, smiling. They had a pleasant dinner together on the patio, and a nice night together on one of their "dates at home." After an enjoyable evening together, they fell asleep and the next day began as usual.

::The day had begun as usual and had proceeded as such. Until, during his office hours, the tingling in his legs had increased and resulted in a muscle spasm. Such was not unusual; he had back spasms often, but his right leg *moved* in response, which had been met with both elation and concern on Xavier's part. Immediately, he had gone to the basement for a meeting with Henry, who had informed him, after several medical scans, that the leg tissue had begun repairing itself.::

Raven had continued her day as usual, and was unaware of what had happened with Charles. She was unaware of his meeting with Henry and the news he received.

::Xavier had been shocked by the news, and had asked Henry to perform a full battery of tests to confirm that prognosis. By the end of it, he was convinced that it was, although the cause was unknown. That evening, after supper, he remained in the kitchen, deep in thought.::

After dinner, Mystique found Charles to be in the kitchen, staring into the distance. Coming up behind him, she placed her hand on his shoulder. "Is something wrong, Charles?"

::Xavier turned his head when Raven touched his shoulder; he had been sufficiently distracted to barely register her mental presence.:: "My legs and spine are healing."
