Typhoid didn't break the silence, but instead moved to settle beside him again, taking his arm and wrapping it about herself as if he were a blanket and she a child meant to hide behind it. "I don't want to hurt anyone," she said finally. It had been her wish since childhood.

She smiled a little weakly. "The nice thing about having a billionaire backing you up is doubling your wardrobe. The Professor thought it'd be easier since I'll be back and forth."

::That hadn't occurred to Pietro, but it was unsurprising to hear. Uncle was that way. It had been different, when the first students had left. He had lived at the mansion when attending classes, and Uncle had had other concerns at the time, post Magneto's stormy abdication and Uncle's accident and recovery process. He remembered helping Ororo pack, and sitting on Scott's bed talking about the future.:: "I can drive you in if you want."
