"Some of them; there's cross-over," ::Odin had spent his free time investigating such organizations. Not directly in a covert operative sense, but by reading articles and their websites. Their opinions made him greatly uncomfortable, understandably.:: "They were Senator Kelly's supporters, mostly, before his change of heart a few years back."

Morph listened to the brief explanation. "Well, in that case, I doubt we'll be taking their viewpoint," he said. "But they do sound interesting. Maybe we should make an overview of current mutant-related organizations in the next issue. I'm certainly too tired to be compiling new material for our first one."

Morph nodded to that. "Let me know if you need my for any research or interviews." he said before taking another sip of his drink. "speaking of which, I´m as good as done with a number of interviews and two more articles for the first issue. By when do you need them?"

::Odin inwardly cringed at the thought of sending anyone from the magazine to meet with the Friends of Humanity, or going himself. They were a disgustingly bigoted group, whom he doubted were above using lynch mobs when they felt the need.:: "Do you want us to take the Point-Counterpoint approach?"

"Oh, uh..." Morph scratched the back of his head, thinking. "Just bring them to a more or less complete condition and send them to me, there's no rush at the moment."
"This might work," he nodded at Odin's question. "If it can be balanced between being analytical and superficial..."

"Okay." Golem nodded at the other man´s word before propping his chin on an elbow, the other hand playing around the rim of his glass. He got the impression that both Morph and Odin had far more of an idea of how to manage a magazine and how to be a writer for one. It made him feel like the bloody beginner he was even though his expression did not show those thoughts.

::It didn't sit well with Odin, the thought of anyone going out there. Not that it was his place to make these decisions, but these were violent people.:: "Whoever goes should be careful. They're fanatical."

"So that means what, they're gonna hit me in the head or something?" Kevin raised his brows. "Or sway me to join their cause? I'm a journalist," he chuckled, closing one eye as if to show his being a journalist was only half-true, "I'm impartial, uninvolved, above it all... and things like that." It seemed his beer was beginning to take its effect.

::Odin wasn't worried about them recruiting Morph. The more fanatical anti-mutant groups wouldn't want him among their ranks. But the events of the rally today had shaken him, and threat of violence remained a possibility, and now more than ever he was sensitive to it.:: "No...they just might be out for blood."

"And we´ve got some powers up our sleeves." Golem said, taking a swig from his drink. "if we plan this well and check out for possible dangers and risks we might get a good story from it. Good research is half the risk I´d say."

"Uh-huh," Morph nodded, "so that, research and preparation, definitely means next issue. Unfortunately. As for blood, I doubt they'll see us - us personally, I mean - as valid targets. until we're out with the magazine, we're nobody."

Golem nodded, spontaneously raising his glass. "To three nobodies." he said. "may whatever fortunes keep them from becoming targets." His mood was brightening somewhat by the moment (he had not been exactly gloomy earlier either) and the company of known faces and some alcohol added to that.

::Both men made valid points, which Odin conceded on one level. But after today, he was ill-at-ease. It would take time for him to settle, and the sense of foreboding, mixed with enough frustration to make him tear out his hair, wouldn't pass for quite some time.
Morph's phrasing, however, brought back a memory, which Odin would prefer stayed buried. From almost exactly a year ago, where he had been tied to that chair, staring up at Laudine Piercefield. She'd slapped him, which in the end had been the least of the torment, and he could still hear her words. "I know how things like you are. Little playthings." He shook his head to clear away the memory, and to come back to himself.
He didn't think he could feign jocularity about this, but he could agree whole-heartedly with the sentiment of not becoming targets. How dearly he hoped not to be one again. However, due to heavy drinking, his glass was already empty, and he raised it for the symbolic gesture, and to get the bartender's attention.:: "Let's hope none of this comes back and bites us."

"That, too," Morph agreed. And he really agreed this time - he had never really cared much for his own safety, as his powers provided him not only with invulnerability, to some noticeable extent, but with anonymity as well; but now, being a father to a little boy, he had to think two steps ahead and make sure nothing bad happened to him and subsequently to Mark.
He looked at the glasses and frowned slightly in confusion at the two other men. "Refresh my memory, guys, whose round was it? I could do with another drink and I can pay if it's my turn already."

"Will all come down to you paying for it anyways." Elias commented as if he had just found out something of grave importance. "cause you pay me anyways so it´s all.. sort of... circling and stuff." He made a vague gesture with his hand. "but now that you mention it, I think it´s your turn, yes."
