Rally for Rights

Astral looked between the three in front of her in mild confusion, about to say something when Lucy began having a go at John. She looked away somewhat awkwardly, trying to not listen.

Siryn didn't know the slightly glowing girl across from her, but know that John and Lucy were having a row she couldn't think of a better time to introduce herself. Skirting the angry couple she smiled at the girl.

"I'm Siryn."

[stjohn]

"Yeah, and last time I checked you weren't a part of this f*cking group." John retorted, rolling his eyes, before he turned away from Lucy, and back towards Astral and Siryn. He wasn't about to deal with Lucy's sh*t about feeling left out, when the protest was at hand, and slowly growing larger as more people showed up.

More than happy to have a distraction, Astral turned to Siryn, smiling politely. "Hello," she replied. "I'm Astral, I'm a friend," she explained as she loosely gestured at John's bickering back.

"Got it." she winked before turning her attention back to John. "Anyway seen Maya?"

[Somebody?]

Lucy:

Lucy took a step back at his words, "Oh right, because I'm not a mutant." She said, as if suddenly realizing this. "That's sad John, because I was the only one back in Australia who accepted you for you are." She told him even after his back was turned to her.

Logan remained stood with Rogue for a while before he glanced down at her. "Let's take a look around," he decided. "Split up, and we'll meet back here," he said with a short nod before he walked off to keep an eye on the gathering crowd.

"Right," he said shortly, knowing it was John now. He just hoped Astral wasn't going to get caught up in whatever mess he had planned.

His jaw clenched slightly, John tried his best to ignore Lucy, hoping she'd get the hell out of there, before things grew hectic, something that he could feel would soon happen. Shaking his head at Siryn's question, he glanced around, before looking back towards Lucy. "Look, we can just talk about this later, alright? Just- Go back to the hotel for now-"

"We should keep an eye out though." She told Eclipse as she looked around.

She was still a bit alienated by the conversations and looked between Siryn and John slowly. "So, what do we do now? Protest?" she wondered with a giggle.

Rogue nodded at Logan, making her way then through the crowd. She saw John and others from the Brotherhood not far from her but did her best to look elsewhere.

[Somebody?]

Lucy:

Lucy frowned when John told her to go back. "No, I want to help." She told him. Of course she was being stubborn, John should know by now she could be.

"I already am," he replied, eyes traveling around the crowd.

Maya had arrived at the scene alone. She had done a quick scan over the area, checking out possible escape routes for when the fun was over. After John had told her she'd gotten ready for the occasion and then set out. She was currently standing next to a guy who had gotten her into the private meeting and he said something to her, but she just walked away after seeing the rest of the 'family'.

She gave Astral a smile when she approached them and then frowned at seeing Lucy, only because this wasn't a good place for her to be at the moment. "This isn't the time for one of your bickering matches." She told the married couple and gave a nod to Siryn.
