::Xavier could not stand enough, after decades of not being able to do so. As such, when they reached his grave, he stood before it, rested his arm against the large, smooth marble. Raven was so attentive, and he spoke, although he knew she could not hear him.:: "I am, Raven, every day."

"And you know I love you," She added, continuing as though she didn't hear him. In fact, she didn't. "But I've been thinking about it, and I've reached the decision that staying in your house is not going to help me move on."

"And I you," ::Xavier's response was automatic. As she continued, he found himself nodding; he had made that point to her.:: "And where will you go?"

She smiled softly, her gaze focused on his bronze image set into the gravestone. "You always encouraged your students to broaden their horizons, and it looks like I'll be doing the same. I'm going to travel the world, Charles. As you did, once."

::Xavier nodded in approval. He had always wanted her to travel, but their lifestyle had not allowed for such an endeavor.:: "Traveling should serve you well, Raven. Not that you can hear me, but go to Venice."

"I've been looking as to where I should start, and thought about Italy," She said, smiling softly. "And visiting Greece, and seeing where I can go from there. I'll be making frequent trips back here, however, since I don't want Abigail to feel like she's lost her mother." Though that would never happen. She would always be there for Abby. "And I want to thank you, for providing for us the way you have, Charles."

"The others will take care of her in your absence," ::Xavier trusted in Scott, Jean, Ororo, the twins, Henry, in all of them to watch over his daughter while Raven went abroad. Just as he would watch over her. And he did not doubt for a moment that Raven would visit frequently; he expected nothing less from her and the tenderness she never failed to display to Abigail.
At the comment about providing, he smiled softly. That is what he had always been, a provider.:: "What are family fortunes for, Raven?"

Raven smiled again. "I know you'd say 'It's what I'm here for, Raven' or something like that. Very typical you." He had always said that when he was alive. "And maybe I'll find someone who accepts me for who I am, just like you did. Consider the blinders removed, Charles."

::The smile on Xavier's lips brightened. It was what he had hoped for, her happiness and her continued life. Just because his had ended did not mean hers had to as well.:: "That warms my heart, Raven."

"And if you'd had any hair, I'd take a lock with me to remind myself of you," She teased gently, smiling. "But I have your memory, and those dreams. And it's good enough for me." Leaning forward, she kissed the bronze image, on his temple.

::Xavier reached out a hand to touch her hair; his fingers slipped through it, not making contact. It always happened, and yet he was tempted at times to touch, regardless.:: "Hopefully, I will be here when you return."

When she pulled away, she smiled at the gravestone, and began to get up. "I know you'll watch over Abigail while I'm gone, and welcome me when I return. It's never goodbye, Charles," She said softly.

"No, it is not," ::Xavier agreed. Even if he did not continue to exist in this form, her memories would persist, and life was made of meetings and partings, after all.:: "Please remember that in your travels."

"Life is made of meetings and partings...that is the way of it," Raven quoted, smiling softly. Once a bibliophile, always a bibliophile. "I will see you again, Charles." She ran her fingers over the grave's face, before smiling and turning to leave.

::That remained to be seen, but to the best of his ability, Xavier would remain here. As she began to walk away, he remained by the tombstone. Symbolic, in a way, of the future she had, and the past he had lived.:: "Until we meet again, Raven."
